Colton Seymour is a high-octane point guard with the quickness to blow by just about anyone. He brings an electric energy to the court, playing with confidence, flair, and a fearless approach—especially when he gets hot. He thrives in an uptempo offense, pushing the pace and looking to score in bunches, particularly in transition or early in the shot clock.

His handle is tight and shifty, allowing him to break down defenders in isolation or shake loose in pick-and-roll situations. Seymour has a quick release from three, and while he’s streaky at times, he’s never afraid to pull up from deep—sometimes well beyond the arc. When he’s in rhythm, he can catch fire quickly and swing the momentum of a game in just a few possessions.

Inside the arc, Seymour uses floaters, creative layups, and hesitation moves to finish among the trees. He’s got excellent body control and isn’t afraid to attack bigger defenders, using angles and speed to get his shot off.

Playmaking & Basketball IQ:

Seymour has solid playmaking instincts, particularly in fast-break situations or when collapsing the defense. He can find shooters in the corners, dump it off to bigs rolling to the rim, and whip quick passes out of the pick-and-roll. He’s dynamic in the passing game, often delivering no-look dimes or slick bounce passes in tight windows.

He’s capable of running an offense and getting others involved without sacrificing his natural scoring ability. 

Defensive Strengths:

Defensively, Seymour competes with effort and quick hands, often looking to generate steals and jump passing lanes. His speed allows him to apply pressure full-court or disrupt opposing guards trying to initiate offense. While he may not be a lockdown defender, his energy and willingness to battle make him a solid on-ball presence.
